Despite his success in business, Vincent T. Hirsch is best remembered for his extensive work with charitable community organizations. Vic’s charitable work included his efforts as one of the original founders of the American Cancer Society’s Monmouth County Unit in the early 1950s.  He continued as an active member of the American Cancer Society from the 1950’s-1980’s holding the offices of Fund Raising Chairman and Chairman of the Board.  Vincent T. Hirsch was President of the United Way, a member of the Boys Club Advisory Board and served on the Board of Governors at Jersey Shore Medical Center.  Vic also volunteered his time to coach the St Rose High School Varsity Boys Basketball Team from 1945-1951 and his team won the State Championship in 1949.
